Aslin Tutuyan
Upon graduating from USC with degrees in English and Sociology, Aslin attended Southwestern University School of Law, where she was a member of the prestigious Moot Court Honors Program. She qualified as an Outstanding Oralist after competing in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Competition in Lubbock, Texas. She trained via internships at the Civil Liability and Consumer Protection divisions of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and the Preliminary Hearings division of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Upon graduation from law school, Aslin joined a firm specializing in medical malpractice defense. After practicing on the defense side for 2 years, she was certain she belonged on the other side, zealously advocating for personal injury plaintiffs.
As a Trial Lawyer, Aslin practices in the areas of personal and catastrophic injury, including automobile collisions, medical malpractice, premises liability, and product liability. She has gone up against large insurance companies, retail stores, school districts and tried cases to verdict against entities like Metro and LA Times. Aslin was the Lead Attorney at Mandell Trial Lawyers representing over 250 Plaintiffs in the Porter Ranch Gas Leak matter against SoCal Gas, resulting in a $1.8 billion settlement. She currently represents victims of toxic chemical exposures from Quemetco, the Carson Dominguez Channel and Chiquita Canyon Landfill.
Over the years, Aslin has been a speaker on various panels regarding traumatic brain injury cases, premises liability cases and trial preparation. She has also been a guest speaker at LMU’s Paralegal Studies Class. Aslin is an unwavering advocate for women in law and shares her insights as a conference panelist on the delicate interplay between self-care, motherhood and being the best version of yourself in life and law.
Aslin is committed to her community and is a dedicated member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and the Armenian Bar Association. She also serves as the chair of the Alumni Committee at her alma mater and enjoys mentoring young future lawyers.
The title she is most proud of is “Mom” to her two children. Outside of the courtroom, you will find Aslin training for marathons and half-marathons, teaching indoor cycling classes or high-fiving on the Peloton leaderboard. Her pup, Teddy, has earned the title of “Attorney at Paw.”
