From our humble beginnings in 1978 as a solo law practice, The Mandell Law Firm has grown into a personal injury legal firm. Our practice boasts a powerhouse of four aggressive and committed lawyers and a support team of paralegals, researchers and other legal professionals. Our founders are literally “brothers in law.” Larry and Rob Mandell grew up in the San Fernando Valley, which serves as the firm’s nerve center to this day. The two brothers have served the legal community, together, for nearly three decades with an emphasis on personal injury litigation.
Laurence H. Mandell
Larry is a graduate of the prestigious National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a member of consumer advocacy groups such as the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles and Consumer Attorneys of California. His victories include several multi-million dollar-plus awards, including a high profile freeway accident case against the City of Los Angeles which garnered $2.8 million (Randall v. City of LA). Larry has numerous serious injury trials and arbitrations to his credit and is well respected on both sides of the fence as an aggressive advocate and worthy opponent.
Larry has also served as an arbitrator and mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court and has the highest possible rating from the peer review based Martindale- Hubbell. He accepts email inquiries at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Robert J. Mandell
Rob has handled several high profile matters with million-dollar-plus awards in the areas of product liability, medical malpractice, and civil rights. He was one of the personal injury lawyers responsible for helping victims of toxic chemical exposures in Lockwood Valley, California, and has several victories before the California Court of Appeals. He is a two-time “Super Lawyer” honoree by Los Angeles Magazine and is an associate of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates. Well respected by his peers, Rob also bears an AV-Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
When he is not advocating for his clients, Rob is usually writing fiction or playing blues harp in local nightclubs. He also enjoys mountain biking, skiing and just hanging out with his beautiful “foodie” wife and two sons. Rob’s specialties include brain and spinal cord injuries, serious orthopedic injuries, and other catastrophic harm. Email him at email@example.com.
The Mandell Law Firm’s dedicated staff of personal injury lawyers includes two additional brilliant attorneys who are essential members of our team, each a credit to her profession.
Mara E. J. Burnett
Ms. Burnett began her legal career as a Research Attorney for the Los Angeles Superior Court, where she analyzed thousands of legal issues and literally wrote the rulings and opinions for several prominent judges. Over the next 15 years, she focused her private practice on catastrophic injury cases arising from motor vehicle accidents, defective products, and dangerous conditions on property. Her credits include a tragic case which later contributed to major changes in automobile safety measures (Martinez v. GM – brake-shift interlock). She participated in mass tort train accident litigation, as well as prosecuting successful actions against negligent physicians.
Mara offers free consultations to all clients and gives a special personal touch to each relationship, which brings her clients back when she is needed again. Her practice encompasses all of Southern California, from Santa Barbara to San Diego. She accepts case inquiries at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Upon graduating from USC, Aslin attended Southwestern University School of Law, where she was a member of the prestigious Moot Court Honors Program. She qualified as an Outstanding Oralist after competing in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Competition in Lubbock, Texas. She trained at the Civil Liability and Consumer Protection divisions of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and the Preliminary Hearings division of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Tutuyan is an attorney who represents her clients with passion and integrity and is an August 2011 graduate of the 25th Annual ABOTA Trial School.
Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Ms. Tutuyan is multi-lingual, speaking English, Armenian, and Turkish. She accepts case inquiries at email@example.com.
